QAI Ventures Quantum Global Summit

Quantum strategy panel discussion at Quantum Global Summit Basel

Building a quantum strategy has become urgent for organisations that weren’t ready for how fast quantum investment arrived. Many now have a quantum position before they have a quantum programme.

Which leaves a lot of organisations expected to have a quantum position before they have a quantum programme.

Carlos Kuchkovsky, CEO and Co-Founder of QCentroid, spoke about that gap at the Quantum Global Summit in Basel, in the session From zero to ready: building a strategy that delivers impact, alongside Romi Sumaria, Chief Commercial Officer at QAI Ventures, and Adrian Glatz, Partner at KPMG.

His starting point was the business case. A named problem. A KPI the organisation already reports on. A budget line.

The use cases and technical requirements may look very different across industries. But the path from zero to a quantum programme that can demonstrate business relevance — and survive a budget cycle — is remarkably similar.

That path starts by identifying problems worth solving, understanding how they are solved today, testing different approaches and building evidence around where quantum can add value.

Seven founders from the 2026 accelerator cohort graduated at the summit. Two years ago, QCentroid was in that seat.

Today, QCentroid provides the platform behind the QAI Ventures industry sandboxes, where organisations can explore sector-specific use cases in their own context, test what makes sense for them, and use that evidence to build the roadmap that comes next.

From being part of the accelerator to helping other organisations take their first structured steps into quantum.

A nice reminder that quantum readiness is not about having all the answers. It is about building the capability to find them.

If that is where your organisation is right now, take a look at the QAI Ventures industry sandboxes.
